Google will let schools disable its AI tools, but only by giving up Search
Summary
Google will allow schools to disable its artificial intelligence tools. However, the option is tied to disabling Google Search as well.
Details
Google will allow schools to turn off its artificial intelligence tools, but according to the available information, the setting will not be independent of the company’s main search engine.
Schools choosing this option will also have to give up access to Google Search. This means that disabling the AI features is linked to turning off the search service.
The available information does not specify additional details about how the setting will be implemented or when it will become available to schools.
NEXORA AI — Why it matters
The decision matters because schools will have to weigh disabling Google’s AI tools against losing access to its Search service.
